Jen + Craig / Wedding
Jen and Craig were married last weekend on what may have been the most amazing weather all year. A gentle breeze blew throughout the day while the warmth of the sun allowed everyone to appreciate just how breathtaking Fall in the Midwest can be.

We photographed their engagement lifestyle session earlier this year, so they were relaxed in front of the camera all day long. Coincidentally, it was our second wedding in just as many days, and we were refreshed and inspired to make some great art!
We started off the morning at Jen and Craig’s new house in Historic Irvington, a community rich in history and identity. From the winding tree-lined streets, public parks and greenways, historic homes and community spirit, Irvington has long been a unique neighborhood on the East side of Indianapolis.

While Jen her bridesmaids were getting ready, we stumbled upon place after place for killer detail photos:

Jen’s beautiful bridal bouquet was prepared by none other than JP Parker Flowers.

Like many [of our] couples, Jen and Craig opted to see each other before their ceremony for a ‘Private First Look’.

Earlier in the day, Craig surprised Jen by having flowers delivered along with a hand-written card and a keepsake from their first date together!
Naturally, Jen returned the surprise and had a card prepared for Craig to read when they first saw each other:

We spent the rest of the time before the ceremony capturing some relaxed portraits and some fun bridal party photos. I think you’ll agree, Jen looked incredible on her wedding day:

The wedding ceremony was held at the First Mennonite Church on the Northwest side of Indianapolis, just north of the historic town of Wynnedale and the bluffs overlooking the White River.

After the ceremony, the bridal party departed the wedding and headed to the beautiful gardens and grounds at the Indianapolis Museum of Art (IMA).
With the formal photos easily out-of-the way, we had plenty of time for some fun, playful photos:

We kept Jen and Craig for a few extra minutes and rocked their One-on-One bride & groom photos!

We reunited at the Indiana State Museum for their reception, which was held in the Governor Frank O’Bannon Great Hall and Ball Family Terrace.

The individuality of Jen and Craig was evident throughout all of their wedding day details, including the cake topper and top secret groom’s cake — exclusively from Heavenly Sweets wedding cakes in Noblesville.

Being that both Jen and Craig are avid sports fans, their choice seemed quite appropriate — after all, they met each other while tailgating at a football game.

Disk Jockey Jon from Event One DJs played some great music and kept the party lively all night long …

We had so much fun being around Jen & Craig and their entire bridal party! We truly felt like part of their family, and wish them the absolute best as newlyweds.
