Brittany + Joe / Engagement
One of [the many] the joys of being a wedding photographer is being able to take part in and share the story of two people in love. It’s truly one of the best parts of the profession, and something we strive to capture in our all of our photos — who doesn’t love a good story? Well, let me tell you about Brittany and Joe.
In discussing and planning their engagement lifestyle session, I learned that Joe knows how to play a guitar. I thought it would be a fabulous idea for Joe to bring along his guitar and play a song or two for us and then we’d just all spend the afternoon together and “go with the flow”. So was the plan, and we joined up with Brittany and Joe for an amazing afternoon of sun, fun, and good times.
We started the day out at Coxhall Gardens in Carmel and just let Brittany and Joe relax in front of the camera. It was immediately apparent that Joe knew his stuff — not just in the way of a lead singer in a band (which he was), but in the ways of being a true rockstar:

Behind this rock star is one of the most sincere, caring, loving and dare I say romantic men I know. Joe had it all — member of a band, tour dates filling up his calendar, and a wide open future — yet he traded it all in for “the girl” in his life.

When Joe broke out his guitar and starting singing his heart out, it was clear he made the right decision. We have never witnessed a better live or acoustical moment than the one Joe put on for us.

After Joe’s amazing encore performance, we decided to spice things up and headed to The Village — the historic downtown area of Zionsville. Finding great light, incredible colors and amazing details was just too easy.

We had the entire downtown to ourselves and a couple that was up for doing anything! Brittany and Joe ended the evening with a semi-formal wardrobe change and a kiss to seal their love and propel their story forward.

It was one of our most memorable engagement lifestyle sessions ever, and we truly can’t wait for their wedding to arrive and to hear another one of Joe’s incredible performances. YOU GUYS ROCK!
